Swimming and Diving Picked Third in Preseason Coaches Poll
Blue Devils have won three of the last four NEC titles
The Central Connecticut women's swimming and diving team was picked to finish third in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll on Friday. The Blue Devils, winners of three of the last four NEC titles, finished fourth a season ago after three straight titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Bryant was picked to finish first. The Bulldogs on the title a year ago and received seven first place votes. Wagner was second, followed by CCSU, Saint Francis U, LIU Brooklyn, Sacred Heart, St. Francis Brooklyn and Mount St. Mary's.
The Blue Devils will begin their season with the annual Alumni Meet on Friday, October 5. The year officially kicks off on the road at Sacred Heart in a meet with the Pioneers and LIU Post.
