Women's Basketball Game vs. St. Francis Brooklyn Cancelled
The Northeast Conference announced on Tuesday the cancellation of six women's basketball games and two men's basketball games scheduled for this week. Included among the cancellations is CCSU's home game against St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday.
The Mount St. Mary's men and women, LIU women and St. Francis Brooklyn women are unable to compete due to COVID protocols, necessitating the cancellations.
Women's Basketball Cancelled Games
December 29 - Mount St. Mary's at FDU; Merrimack at St. Francis Brooklyn; Sacred Heart at LIU
December 31 - Mount St. Mary's at Wagner; St. Francis Brooklyn at CCSU; Merrimack at LIU
Men's Basketball Cancelled Games
December 29 - FDU at Mount St. Mary's
December 31 - Wagner at Mount St. Mary's
Per the NEC's Cancellation and Forfeit Policy, the games will be deemed forfeits. Mount St. Mary's (men & women), LIU (women) and SFBK (women) will be assigned losses in the conference standings and their opponents assigned wins.
By NCAA policy, forfeits will not change a team's official won-lost record, nor will they impact statistics or coaching records.
