Blue Devils T4th after Day One at Villanova
Monte Mullen led the Blue Devils with a 76 and 75 on day one.
The Central Connecticut men's golf team is currently tied for fourth place after the first day of the Villanova Wildcat Invitational on Monday. Day one results are not final due to one foursome being unable to finish their second round.
The Blue Devils sit behind tournament leader Ohio State, Delaware and St. John's, and are currently tied with tournament host Villanova at +42. They are just eight shots off the lead.
Leading the Blue Devils on day one was freshman Monte Mullen who is tied for seventh place. The freshman shot a round one 76 and a round two 75 to sit at +9 on the par-71 course.
Junior Dan Fanion is tied for 10th (80/72) and sophomore Daniel Morgan is tied for 13th (81/72) on the leader board.
Junior Ashley Crawford carded a round one 88 and a round two 75 and sits at +21.
Senior Kevin Josephson did not finish his second round. He shot a 79 on his first 18 and will wrap up his second 18 on Tuesday, prior to beginning round three.
The third and final round of the tournament will be played on Tuesday, April 3.
