Volleyball Downs Le Moyne in Three Sets on Friday
The Blue Devils trailed just once in the match and forced the Dolphins into 24 errors.
The Central Connecticut volleyball team defeated Le Moyne in straight sets on Friday evening at Detrick Gymnasium. Weronika Poczynek had a match-high 10 kills and the Blue Devils had 11 total blocks as a team.
The Blue Devils host Saint Francis U on Saturday afternoon.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils scored the first three points of the opening set and would go ahead 12-5 after a kill by Victoria Sanabria. CCSU would extend its lead to as much as 20-8 after another kill by Sanabria before closing out the set on a kill by Mia Lombardo.
- An ace by Poczynek gave Central a 4-0 lead in the second set. Following an ace by Isabelle Roufs to give CCSU a 13-6 lead, Le Moyne would take a timeout. Central would score five straight to go ahead, 18-8, and would not allow Le Moyne to get closer than nine points the rest of the set.
- The Dolphins scored the first point of the third set, but the Blue Devils came back with five consecutive points. Le Moyne would score five straight to get within, 15-12, before a CCSU timeout would stem the run. The Blue Devils would push the lead back to 20-14 and go on to win the match following a Le Moyne error.

- CCSU and Le Moyne were meeting for the first time at the Division I level.
- Poczynek tallied double-figure kills for the seventh time this season. She added nine digs and two blocks.
- Isabella Bratzke had a match-high 13 digs and added two blocks and two kills.
- Roufs, Sanabria, Kaylin Hadley and Mia Lombardo each had three total blocks.
- Baranski and Madison Massaro-Cook had 15 and 10 assists, respectively.
- The Blue Devils trailed just once in the match.
