Rademacher, Academic All-District Selection
Senior Jamie Rademacher was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Team
Central Connecticut volleyball senior Jamie Rademacher was named to the Capital One Academic All-District Volleyball Team on Thursday afternoon. Rademacher is one of six players on the NCAA Division I squad for District I. CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) select the all-district teams based on a student-athlete's academic and athletic success during that season.
Rademacher and the five other recipients from District I will now be added to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Through 27 matches, Rademacher has posted 224 kills and 96 blocks over 101 sets played. She has posted per set averages of 2.22 kills and 0.95 blocks. Her best attribute is her efficiency on the attack. In 275 total attacks, she has 224 kills and just 54 attack errors, which works out to a .358 hitting percentage.
Rademacher's play this season has earned her three Molten/Northeast Conference Player of the Week awards.
In the classroom, Rademacher is majoring in marketing and has posted a 3.90 grade point average through her first six semesters of college.
Rademacher had been honored for her academic achievements, by the Northeast Conference following each of her first three seasons.
