Women's Soccer Listed on United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings
The Blue Devils are 10th on the North Region Poll.
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team entered the United Soccer Coaches North Region poll at 10th released Monday afternoon.
The Blue Devils are currently 1-1-0 on the year. Central fell to Rutgers 2-1 in overtime in the first match of the season and recently defeated Maine 2-1 in its home opener on Monday, Aug. 26. Freshman Giavanna Inzerillo headed her first collegiate goal and the game winner off a corner kick from junior Erica Bardes.
Sophomore goalie Amanda McQuillan was named the first Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week after having nine saves against No. 19 Rutgers.
Women's soccer returns to action on Thursday, Aug. 29, hosting Connecticut at 7 p.m. at CCSU Soccer Field in New Britain, CT.
