Women's Soccer Drops 2-1 Decision at Rutgers

The Central Connecticut women's soccer team dropped its season opener 2-1 in overtime against Rutgers on Thursday night in Piscataway, N.J. Sophomore Roma McLaughlin scored off a pass from freshman Sydnie Dorman (11:05) to give Central an early 1-0 lead. Late in the second half, the Scarlet Knights evened the score with a goal off a penalty kick (69:41) sending the game to extra minutes. Amirah Ali scored the winning goal for Rutgers in overtime to take the win.
