Women's Soccer Falls on the Road at Army on Sunday Afternoon
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team fell to 3-3-4 overall this season with a 3-0 loss on the road at Army on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils outshot the Cadets 16-14 in the game but Army held the 7-6 advantage in shots on goal. CCSU returns to action on Friday when they begin Northeast Conference play at St. Francis (PA) at 3 p.m.

Army held a 1-0 advantage at halftime and netted two more goals
after halftime against Blue Devil goalkeeper Caity
Casey. The Cadets held just a slim 7-6 advantage in shots on
goal but the Blue Devils were unable to score on any of their 16
total shots.
Central Connecticut, who has played all but one of its first 10
games of the season away from home, continues its road swing this
weekend when it opens NEC play. CCSU will travel to St. Francis
(PA) on Friday afternoon and will stay on the road for a game on
Sunday at Robert Morris.
CCSU returns home for a pair of games over Columbus Day weekend.
They will host Mount St. Mary's on October 10 and then Monmouth on
Sunday, October 12.
