Blue Devils Tripped Up In In-State Battle At Fairfield
Host Siena At 4:00 PM On Tuesday Afternoon
The host Fairfield University Stags raced out to a 9-0 lead to open the game and never trailed on the night on their way to an 82-54 non-conference women's basketball win over the visiting Central Connecticut State Blue Devils on Wednesday night. With the victory, the Stags even their season mark at 2-2; while CCSU slips to 0-6 so far on the 2024-25 campaign. Freshman Selina Monestime led Central in scoring on Wednesday with 15 points, and she was joined in double figures by classmate Dagny Slomack and graduate student Meghan Kenefick, who each chipped in 11 points on the evening. Monestime and Kayla Henry led the Blue Devils in the rebounding department, as they each grabbed five boards.
