
Amaya Williams Leads Central With 15 Points As Blue Devils Fall At Colgate
Raiders Defeat CCSU, 74-60
The host Colgate University Raiders (3-1) defeated the visiting Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils (0-5), 74-60, in a non-conference women's basketball contest in Hamilton, New York on Friday night. Colgate used a big third quarter in which they outscored the visiting Blue Devils, by nine points, 24-15, to extend a five-point halftime lead, 34-29, to a 14-point advantage, 58-44, after three periods. With the loss, Central slips to 0-5 overall so far in the 2024-25 season; while the Raiders up their overall season mark to 3-1. Senior Amaya Williams led a trio of CCSU players in double-digit scoring with 15 points, and she was joined in double figures by freshman Dagny Slomack with 11 points and junior Alonna Sellers with 10 points. Sellers finished one rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards coming off the Blue Devils' bench.
