Central Connecticut State University announced its 2024-25 non-conference slate on Tuesday. The Blue Devils 13-game schedule features six home game and opponents from nine different conferences including the Big 10, Big 12 and ACC.
The Blue Devils take to the court for the first time on November 4th, travelling to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers at Williams Arena. It is the first-ever meeting between the two squads.
Three days later the Blue Devils open the home portion of the slate, hosting Manhattan. It is the first of six home games. CCSU and Manhattan will be meeting for the fourth time. CCSU will also host former NEC rival Bryant on November 12th at Kaiser Hall. It will be the 33rd meeting of the two squads.
Thanksgiving week finds Central at home for consecutive games, November 26th versus Siena and November 29th versus Bridgeport. The Blue Devils are 3-4 all-time versus Siena, with the last meeting coming a decade ago. The meeting with the Purple Knights is the first in program history.
The Blue Devils sandwich December finals with a pair of home games. Morgan State visits New Britain on December 7th. The Blue Devils won on the road in that series last January, 68-65. The final non-conference home game comes on December 16th versus Dartmouth, restarting a series that was last played in the 2016-17 season.
CCSU will travel to a pair of A-10 Conference members, playing at UMass on November 10th and at Dayton on December 1st. That game at Dayton is the first of a two-game rod strip that takes the Blue Devils to Cincinnati on December 3rd. It is the 12th all-time meeting with the Minutewomen and the first-ever with both Dayton and Cincinnati.
The Blue Devils make return trips to both Colgate and Fairfield this season. CCSU will trek to Network on November 15th to meet the Red Raisers, holding a 7-5 series advantage. The in-state trip to the Stags comes on November 20th, for the 15th meeting in program history.
The non-conference portion of the schedule wraps up on December 20th, when the Blue Devils head to Boston to take on Boston College. The teams are meeting for the 11th time, dating back to the 1974-75 season, with CCSU winning six of those prior contests.
