Softball Falls to in State Foe UConn on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut softball team suffered a 6-0 loss on Tuesday to instate foe, UConn.
Adrianna Green went the distance for The Blue Devils and let in just four earned runs across the board against a potent Huskie offense. Ava Cino went 2-2 and reached base in all three trips. Brooke Fedison reached base in each of her plate appearances with an infield hit to her credit.
UConn notched their 10th straight win. Ace pitcher Hallie Siems pitched five innings and earned the win for the Huskies.

BOTTOM 2nd: Grace Jenkins singled to begin the inning for the Huskies. Pinch runner Rayah Snyder advanced to second on a wild pitch and advanced to third on a 'fake bunt' steal. Snyder then scored after a changeup trickled past the Blue Devils catcher and UConn took a 1-0 lead.
BOTTOM 3rd: With runners on second and third and two outs, The Huskies scored two runs when Jana Sanden reached safely on a throwing error by Paige Stringer and took a 3-0 lead.
BOTTOM 4th: Leadoff hitter Lexi Hastings brought home Haley Coupal with a bases-loaded sac fly for The Huskies and gave them a 4-0 lead. Grace Jenkins followed with a two run double as UConn took a commanding 6-0 lead.
