KEY MOMENTS – GAME ONE
- Ashlyn Desaulniers was able to reach base with a single in the first, but EKU was able to record the final outs of the inning. Eastern Kentucky scored six runs on six hits with RBIs coming from five Colonials in the inning.
- EKU added five unearned runs in the bottom of the second that brought the Colonel lead to 11-0.
- The Colonials added three runs in the bottom of the third off hits from Sharyn Duncan, Lilly Davis, and Haynes, for a 14-0 lead.
- In the top of the fourth Kendra Grove reached first with a single in her first at-bat this season. She was stranded at first and The Colonels scored their 15th and final run of game one in the bottom of the fourth. EKU claimed the game 15-0 when it was called in the middle of the fifth.
KEY MOMENTS – GAME TWO
- EKU scored five in the bottom of the first after having the bases loaded with two outs. Whittaker nearly got out of the inning but a bloop single from the Colonials kept the inning alive.
- Maggie Pertee hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the second to extend EKU's lead to 8-0.
- Eastern Kentucky hit another 2-run homer in the bottom of the fourth sealing a 10-0 victory for The Colonials.
