Softball Announces 2024 Schedule
Central Connecticut State University head softball coach Breanne Gleason announced the Blue Devils 2024 slate on Tuesday. The campaign begins February 10th, at home with a double header vs Saint Peters.
Central Connecticut State University head softball coach Breanne Gleason announced the Blue Devils 2024 slate on Tuesday. The campaign begins February 10th, at home with a double header vs Saint Peters. Central Connecticut is led by reigning NEC Staff of the Year, Breanne Gleason in her 11th season, and Pat Holden who enters his 8th as the assistant coach.
- The Blue Devils look to host 24 games at home, as part of a 48-game slate.
- The home opener is set for February 10th vs Saint Peters at 12:00 pm.
- The 2024 season includes four games in Virginia. They will compete against four different teams (Norfolk State, Hampton, Marist, Holy Cross) at Norfolk State and Hampton University (3/1 - 3/3).
- CCSU will take on three in-state opponents, including UConn, Fairfield, and Sacred Heart.
- Central hosts FDU (3/16, 3/17), LIU (3/23, 3/24), Saint Francis U (4/6, 4/7), and Merrimack (4/20, 4/21) in Northeast Confernce play this season.
- The NEC opener is March 16th where the Blue Devils will host FDU in a three-game series.
- CCSU will honor its senior class before the final home game of the campaign, on April 21st against Merrimack.
- The 2024 NEC Tournament will be played May 9-11 on the campus of the top seed, with the tournament winner advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
