Track and Field Concludes Opening Weekend of Outdoor Season
CCSU Track and Field ended their three-day season-opening meet at Raleigh Relays on Saturday night; They also had athletes competing in the Bryant Black and Gold Invitational this weekend as well.
Raleigh Relays - Day Three
- Jacob Ireland placed 51st in the 800m for Central Connecticut (1:52.00).
- Ryan McCauley (1:55.42), Aidan Budge (1:57.55), and Gabriel Kwarteng (1:57.68) also competed in the 800m for the Blue Devils.
- The Men's 4x400 relay team took home 12th place in the finals with a time of 3:16.27.
Bryant Black and Gold Invitational

Jamar Alcena placed 5th (22.56) in the 200m for Central Connecticut.

Freshman Cole Robertson placed 7th in the 400m after running it in 50.70, and Ryan Newberry placed 8th (50.86).

Kenny Agwu placed 6th in the 110mH for The Blue Devils. The sophomore finished 7th (58.02) in the 400mH as well. Alex Meisenkothen finished the 400mH in 8th (58.35).

The 4x800m relay team placed first with a time of 7:58.60.

Nicolai Yanko took 6th in the high jump with a 1.83m leap.

Kolby Quinn placed 6th (12.36m) in the triple jump for Centrals 9th top-ten finish at the invitational.
