Men's Track Breaks School Record on Day Two of IC4A/ECAC Championships
The Central Connecticut men's indoor track team placed second and broke the school record in the 4x400 relay.
The Central Connecticut men's indoor track team placed second and broke the school record in the 4x400 relay on Sunday on Day Two of the IC4A/ECAC Championships.
- Central placed 13th out of 34 at the championship tallying 24 points.
- Edward Williams Jr placed first in the 60m hurdles and was a tenth of a second from the school record (7.84) held by Williams Jr, himself.
- The 4x400 relay team including Noah Colangelo, Maxwell Czarnecki, KyMoy Phillip, and Gabriel Kwarteng broke the school record after running a 3:14.23 beating the previous time of 3:17.1.
- The distance medley relay team consisting of Aiden Budge, Chris Abbey, Ryan McCauley, and Jacob Ireland ran a 9:53.32 to place third for The Blue Devils.
The CCSU Women's indoor track team placed 21st with 14 points.
- Ashley Dana was placed second in the mile with a time of 4:51.76 on day two earning 8 points towards the Blue Devils score.
- Alissa Hurd's third-place finish in the high jump on day one added six points for Central.
