Blue Devils Place Fourth in Holy Cross Invitational

The Central Connecticut men's outdoor track team tallied 111 points to place fourth in the Holy Cross Invitational.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS

• Edward Williams Jr had three top-ten finishes at The Holy Cross Invitational. He took home fifth with a collegiate-best time of 10.75 in the 100m dash. He placed second in the 110mH with a time of 14.29 and placed third (41.90) with a 4x100m relay team consisting of Jordan Jackson, Edward Williams Jr, Maxwell Czarnecki, and Noah Colangelo.
• The trio of Noah Colangelo (49.18), Maxwell Czarnecki (49.67), and Cole Robertson (50.06) dominated the 400m event with third, fourth, and eighth-place finishes. 
• The Blue Devils had another dominant showing in the 800m event. Jacob Ireland placed second with a time of 1:52.92, Aidan Budge placed fourth with a time of 1:53.63, Ryan McCauley placed fifth (1:53.71), and Chris Abbey took home ninth with a time of 1:55.34. 
• James Sullivan placed fifth with a time of 3:58.37 in the 1500m. Yankarlos Diaz placed ninth after running it in 3:59.70 and Salvatore Masciarelli placed tenth respectively with a time of 3:59.81.
• Michael Kraszewski placed fourth in the 5000m run with a time of 15:35.49. 
• In the 400mH Maxwell Czarnecki placed third (54.93) and Alex Meisenkothen placed ninth with a time of 56.41.
• In the 2000m Steeplechase Eddie Nicholas placed fifth with a time of 6:07.47, Joseph Lauria placed seventh with a time of 6:14.36, and Steven Baah-Mensah ran it in 6:15.72 to take eigth. 
• The 4x400m relay team consisting of Kymoy Phillip, Cole Robertson, Ryan Newberry, and Jonathan Orlando took home first place and the team consisting of Abbey, McCauley, Budge, and Ireland placed fourth. 

FIELD HIGHLIGHTS

• Nicolai Yanko placed second in the high jump with a 1.87m mark.
• Keith Townsend took home tenth in the high jump with a mark of 1.72m.
• Tyrone Mack placed fourth in the shot put with a 16.14m throw. Mack also placed eighth in the discus with a 42.64m throw.
• Angelo Pisacreta notched a collegiate-best mark of 40.36m in the hammer throw to place tenth. 
• Logan Ratcliff placed second in the javelin with a 58.37m mark. Alex Heron took fifth (53.20m) and Kyle Martin took home eighth (44.48m).
