Stoddart Shines for Women's Golf on Monday at Brown
Stoddart surges with 80 in final round and finishes tied for 17th
Freshman Kaitlyn Stoddart shot a second round 80 and finished in a tie for 17th place overall as the Central Connecticut women's golf team completed play in the Brown Bear Invitational on Monday. The Blue Devils finished in ninth place out of 13 teams in the two round tournament, played at Metacomet Country Club in Rhode Island.
Stoddart's round of 80 was the best of the day for the Blue Devils. It was the sixth best score in the entire round. She shot a round one score of 85 for a two round total of 165. There were only five rounds in the 70s for the entire second round on Monday.
Conditions were windy on Monday with steady winds in the area of 15-20 miles per hour.
Junior Albrianna Farnum shot a second round 88 and finished in 31st place overall. Freshman Ella Williams shot 89 and finished in a tie for 34th place. Sophomore Sarah Boden shot 95 and finished in 60th place, while senior Nicole Pizzoferrato shot 99 and finished in 63rd place.
Central shot 352 on the second day and finished in ninth place overall.
