Women's Golf Finishes Eighth at Towson on Monday
Farnum ties for 19th in first outing of the season
The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished eighth at the Tignanelli Towson Invitational which finished play on Monday. The tournament was played at the Towson Golf and Country Club in Towson, MD, and is a par-72, 6,139 yard course.
Junior Albrianna Farnum was the top finisher for the Blue Devils, posting a two-round total of 160 (+16). She tied for 19th place after shooting 75 on Sunday and 85 on Monday.
Freshman Ella Williams shot 82-82 to finish at 164 (+20) for the two rounds, she was tied for 39th place overall. Sophomore Sarah Boden shot 83-82 (165, +21) and finished in a tie for 41st.
Freshman Kaitlyn Stoddart shot 79-90 and finished +25 in a tie for 50th place. Senior Gina Grant shot 93-90 and was in 72nd place.
The Blue Devils, playing in the first tournament of the season, shot a two-day total of 658 (319-339) to finish in eighth place. Delaware won the tournament, followed by St. John's, Bethune Cookman, St. Francis U, LIU Brooklyn, Towson, Hartford then CCSU. Fairleigh Dickinson, Fairfield, Quinnipiac, Hofstra, Delaware State and Hampton University all finished behind the Blue Devils.
