Women's Golf Finishes Round One at Seton Hall
Blue Devils tied for 14th of 17 teams
Junior Albrianna Farnum shot a round one score of 83 and is tied for 25th place as the Central Connecticut women's golf team competed in the first round of the Pirate Invitational hosted by Seton Hall University on Saturday. The tournament is being held at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ.
The Blue Devils sit in a tie for 14th place overall after the first round, which saw sustained winds of 25 miles per hour on the day. Princeton is in first place (320) followed by Columbia (322), Penn (324), Yale (326) and Seton Hall (328).
Farnum's 83 puts her in a tie for 25th place overall. Sophomore Sarah Boden is tied for 41st with an 87, along with freshman teammate Kaitlyn Stoddart. Senior Nicole Pizzoferrato shot a 97 and is tied for 82nd. Freshman Ella Williams withdrew from the tournament on Saturday.
With a first round score of 354 the Blue Devils are tied with Hofstra for 14th place. They are 13 shots behind William and Mary (341) for 10th place overall.
The second and final round will be played on Sunday.
