Women's Golf Finishes 7th at Delaware
Farnum and Stoddart tie for 17th place
The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished seventh after the third and final round of the University of Delware Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils completed the second round in the morning and then the third and final round later on Sunday.
The Blue Devils shot a team score of 334 in the second round and 328 in the third and final round to finish at 980 for the tournament.
The tournament was played at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club and is a par 71, measuring 5,978 yards.
Junior Albrianna Farnum and freshman Kaitlyn Stoddart led the way for the Blue Devils, each shooting a three-round total of 237 and finishing in a tie for 17th place overall. Farnum shot 73-83-81 while Stoddart went 77-82-78.
Sophomore Sarah Boden shot 85-80-83 and finished in 32nd place at 248. Freshman Ella Williams finished in 42nd place with a three-round total of 258. She shot 83-89-86. Senior Nicole Pizzoferrato finished in 51st place with a score of 276.
Delaware won the team title, followed by Penn, Rollins, Brown and Towson. LIU Brooklyn was sixth, followed by CCSU, Delaware, Monmouth and Delaware State.
The tournament concludes the fall season for the CCSU women's team.
