Women's Golf Competes at Brown on Sunday
First Round suspended due to darkness, will finish on Monday
The Central Connecticut women's golf team competed in the first round of the Brown Bear Invitational at Metzcomet Country Club in Rhode Island. The Blue Devils shot a day one score of 340. The first round was suspended due to darkness and the remaning teams who were out on the course will complete the first round on Monday morning. The second round will immediately follow.
Round one was played in windy conditions in Providence, which slowed the pace of play.
Central was led by junior Albrianna Farnum who shot a day one score of 82 (41-41). Right behind was freshman Ella Williams who fired an 83 (43-40). Classmate Kaitlyn Stoddart shot 85 (45-40), followed by Sarah Boden (90, 45-45)) and Nicole Pizzoferrato (91, 48-43).
Team scores and individual places were not available due to the suspension of play.
