Women's Golf Places 20th in WGCA All-Scholar GPA Award
Blue Devils posted a collective GPA of 3.645 in 2013-14
The Blue Devils finished with a team GPA of 3.645, tied with Georgia State Universit for 20th out of over 500 teams among Division I, II and III. The WGCA released the top-25 teams.
The award recognizes the women's collegiate golf program with the highest colective team GPA which includes all of the team's student-athletes.
"I am so happy for our team right now," head coach Carly Ludwig said following the announcement. "I gave the team a challenge at the beginning of the year to be in the top-25 and they exceeded that. I am so proud of them, and also very thankful to our academic staff at the University who has helped us along the way. This is a great team accomplishment."
Earlier this month four Blue Devils earned All-American Scholar honors for their performance in the classroom.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 500 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
