Women's Golf Finishes 14th at Rutgers Women's Invite
Freshman Ella Williams leads the way with a 53rd place finish
The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished in 14th place at the Rutgers Women's Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Blue Devils shot a day two score of 323, 11 shots better than their first round score, to finish with a two-day total of 657.
The tournament was played on the Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway Township, New Jersey.
Freshman Ella Williams led the way for the Blue Devils with a day-two score of 80, posted a total of 162, good for a tie for 53rd place. Right behind Williams was junior Albrianna Farnum who fired a day-two score of 83 to go along with an 80 in her first round. She finished tied for 57th place.
Sophomore Sarah Boden shot the best single round score of the tournament for the Blue Devils with a 79 on Tuesday. Her 163 tied for 57th along with Farnum.
Freshman Kaitlyn Stoddart improved seven strokes from her day one score and shot an 81 on Tuesday. She finished tied for 79th with a 169. Senior Elisabeth Beloin fired an 86 and finished in a tie for 97th.
The Blue Devils will finish their fall schedule on Oct. 26-27 when they travel to the University of Delaware for a two-day tournament.
