The Central Connecticut men's basketball team travels to LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night for its final road game of the season. Bruce Biel (play-by-play) and Marc Robbins (analyst) will call the action for the Blue Devils on News Radio 1410/ESPN Radio 1300. Last Time Out • Senior Brandon Peel posted his ninth straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Wagner scored the first four games and led throughout the afternoon. Sophomore Kevin Seymour finished with 11 points, for his third double-digit scoring contest in the past four games, while freshman Evan Phoenix led Central with 12 points off the bench. CCSU got within 10 points early in the second half, but the Seahawks' defense would hold the Blue Devils to just two field goals over 13 minutes to take its largest lead of the game.
Coach Dickenman Announces Retirement • Following the win over Mount St. Mary's, head coach Howie Dickenman announced he will retire after the 2015-16 season. In 20 seasons at his alma mater he has won 182 games and led CCSU to three Northeast Conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearnaces. He is a four-time Coach of the Year and has coached five NEC Players of the Year.
Next Up • Central Connecticut closes out the season at home against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, Feb. 27, in head coach Howie Dickenman's final game in charge of the Blue Devils.
