The Central Connecticut men's basketball travels to Mount St. Mary's on Thursday night for a Northeast Conference tilt. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and fans can follow the action by watching on NECFrontrow.com or by listening on News Radio 1410 and ESPN Radio 1300 and iHeartradio.com

Last Time Out • Central dropped its Northeast Conference home opener to LIU Brooklyn, 76-67. The Blue Devils were led by sophomore Mustafa Jones who had a team-high 15 points, including 10 in the first half. Freshman Austin Nehls added 14 points in the loss, including nine in the first half, all on threes. LIU led 37-29 at the break and by as many as 17 with under five minutes to play in the half. The Blue Devils cut into a 33-16 lead with a 13-4 run to end the half before opening the second half and cutting the deficit to 45-40. A 13-3 run by LIU pushed the lead back to 58-43. CCSU managed to climb within 74-67, but could get no closer.
Scouting Mount St. Mary's • Mount St. Mary's rallied from a nine-point deficit with just over six minutes remaining to grind out a 44-40 overtime win against St. Francis Brooklyn to start NEC play, 2-0. The preseason league favorites are led by BK Ashe who averages 14.9 points per game. Gregory Graves is the top rebounder at 5.0 per contest. The Mountaineers are 5-0 in Knott Arena this season.
