Last Time Out • Central fell to Mount St. Mary's, 73-62, at Knott Arena on Thursday. Sophomore Mustafa Jones led CCSU with career-highs of 18 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. The Blue Devils shot a season-best 48.1 percent from the field and held a 35-29 edge on the glass. Mount St. Mary's took advantage of 17 turnovers by CCSU and turned it into a 26-6 margin in points off of turnovers. Mount scored the first seven points after halftime to build an 11-point lead, but CCSU eventually got to within 58-55. The Mountaineers held off the rally by scoring seven straight to push the lead back to double-figures.
Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson • The Knights have gone 4-2 in their last six games, including an 80-68 win at Sacred Heart to improve to 2-1 in NEC play. FDU has the second-highest scoring offense in the league at 74.2 points while shooting .433 as a team. The Knights also average over nine steals per game. Earl Potts and Darian Anderson lead the squad in scoring at 15.6 and 15.2 points per game, respectively. Potts grabs a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game.
