Dwyer Tabbed NEC Diver Of The Week
The Blue Devils will return to the pool for competition this Friday, Nov. 7 at Bryant.
Senior Kaitlyn Dwyer of the Central Connecticut women's swimming and diving team was named Northeast Conference Diver of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Dwyer led the Blue Devils from the diving board picking up a first place finish on the 1-meter board and a runner-up finish on the 3-meter board Saturday at New Hampshire. The Blue Devils dropped the dual meet 168-124, but they were excellent off the diving board.
Dwyer scored 238.92 from the 1-meter board, which was more than 63 points better than the second place diver. On the 3-meter board Dwyer scored 203.10 in six attempts to earn a silver medal. Dwyer accounted for 13 of the Blue Devils' 124 points in just two events.
CCSU will return to action this Friday, Nov. 7, in another dual meet against NEC opponent, Bryant. The action is set to begin at 6 p.m.
