The Blue Devils will play seven non-conference games this season, including the season opener at Stony Brook on February 18. Central will also go on the road to face Iona on March 3. Manhattan College will come to Arute Field on March 7, and Holy Cross will come to New Britain for the final home game of the regular season on April 18.
In mid-March the Blue Devils will embark on a three-game swing through California. Central will make stops at U.C. Davis, Fresno State and St. Mary's College on a week-long tour of the West Coast. All three programs have paid visits to Arute Field in recent years.
Northeast Conference play starts early in 2012, with a home game against Bryant on February 18. Central hosts NEC games against Long Island (3/30), Wagner (4/1), Robert Morris (4/13) and St. Francis (PA) (4/15) this season.
The Blue Devils will go on the road to NEC foes Monmouth (4/5) and Mount St. Mary's (4/7), before ending the regular season with games at Quinnipiac (4/20) and Sacred Heart (4/22).
In her first season, Coach Kelly Nangle has the Blue Devils looking forward to a challenging 2012 campaign.
"We are very excited about our 2012 schedule," Nangle Said. "I believe we have created a more competitive non-conference schedule that will help prepare our team for our NEC opponents this season."
