Northeast Conference Announces Preseason Poll During Virtual Media Day
CCSU was tabbed ninth in the preseason poll.
The Northeast Conference announced its Preason Coaches' Poll and Preseason All-NEC Team on Thursday during the league's virtual Media Day. CCSU was picked ninth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, in which coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Fairleigh Dickinson was tabbed the preseason favorite and collected six first-place votes. LIU collected four first-place votes and was picked second. Bryant and Mount St. Mary's tied for third in the poll and rounded out the top four spots.
Head coach Donyell Marshall is set to begin his fifth season in charge of the Blue Devils and boasts a roster slated to welcome back four returning starters and seven of its top eight scorers. Junior Ian Krishnan led the team in scoring at 12.5 points per game and connected on nearly 45 percent from three-point range. Sophomore Myles Baker was named to the NEC All-Rookie Team and scored 8.8 points per game in conference play while coming off the bench.
