Rafter Leads Blue Devils at Day One of NEC Championships
Angie Rafter won the gold and broke the school record in the 3,000 meter race.
The Central Connecticut women's indoor track and field team totaled 10 points on day one of the 2020 Northeast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Junior Angie Rafter was crowned the champion in the 3,000 meter race after setting a new school record of 9:57.67. Sacred Heart is currently in first place with a total of 32.5 points.

KEY PERFORMANCES | DAY ONE RESULTS
- Angie Rafter was crowned the 3,000 meter champion with a school record time of 9:57.67. She also advanced to the 800 meter finals with a time of 2:18.83.
- Ashley Dana also qualified for the 800 meter finals after posting a 2:21.29 in the preliminary round.
- Megan Brawner will advance to the one mile run final tomorrow after clocking in at 5:12.43 in the prelims.
- Hailey Rospierski will compete in the 60 meter hurdles final after posting a 9.05 time in the preliminary round.
