NEC Announces Women's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll
Central was picked to finish fourth and earned one first place nod.
The Central Connecticut women's indoor track and field team was predicted to finish fourth in the 11-team NEC Preseason Coaches Poll announced by the conference on Friday, Jan. 10. Five teams earned first place votes including Central which received one. The Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson were picked as the preseason favorite and earned two first place nods.
CCSU returns seniors Megan Brawner and Hailey Rospierski who earned four medals combined at the 2019 Northeast Conference Championship meet. Brawner earned the silver in the one mile (5:03.96) and the bronze in the 800 meter run. Rospierski won the silver medals in both the 60 meter hurdles (8.85) and the high jump (1.67m).
The women's indoor track and field team competes today at the Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, N.H.
