Men's and Women's Track and Field Programs Recognized for Academic Success
The Central Connecticut men's and women's track and field teams were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic performance during the 2019-20 school year with the All-Academic Team Award it was announced.

The Blue Devils, who had over 20 individuals earn Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll selections during the year, recorded a 3.08 team GPA during the indoor and outdoor seasons. The Central men's team had a 3.09 grade point average, while the women's program posted a 3.19 GPA. CCSU had 20 members of the men's team earned NEC spring academic honors, while 17 women's student-athletes were named to the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
In order to selected as an All-Academic Team the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Overall, 264 women's programs andd 199 different men's programs were recognized for their academic excellence.
