Blue Devils Compete at Ramapo Opener
Women's track & field earned eight medals at the meet.
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team earned eight medals after competing in 15 events at the Ramapo College Season Opener on Friday, Jan. 17 in New York, NY. Hailey Rospierski, Angie Rafter and Briyanna Labbie all finished first in their respective events.

KEY PERFORMANCES | RESULTS
- Hailey Rospierski won the women's 60 meter dash with a time of 8.41.
- In the 500 meter dash Briyanna Labbie clocked in first at 1:23.11, a personal best time.
- Angie Rafter ran a personal best and took the gold in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 2:57.96.
- Megan Brawner came in second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:16.89.
- In the 5,000 meter run, Kaitlyn Stevens ran a collegiate best and finished second at 19:13.13.
- Danyelle Engels also earned second place in shot put with a 10.76 meter throw.
- Teaira Edwards threw 13.86 meters in the weighted throw for second place, which improved 2.36 meters than her previous best.
