Alston Leads Men's Track and Field at BU Last Chance Meet, Sunday
Sophomore Edwin Alston took second place in the 60 meter hurdles at the BU Last Chance Meet
Three Central Connecticut men's indoor track and field members competed at the BU Last Chance Meet on Sunday, Feb. 26 inside the Boston U. Track and Tennis Center. Leading the three runners was sophomore Edwin Alston who placed second in the 60 meter hurdle finals with a time of 8.00 seconds flat. Alston qualified earlier in the day for running a time of 8.03 in the prelims.
OFFICIAL BU LAST CHANCE RESULTS
Junior Austin Trainor and senior Joseph Gioeilli also ran in the mile run for CCSU. Trainor set a new personal record mark of 4:06.21, finishing 18th overall, and surpassing his previous best time of 4:11.39 set back at the 2016 David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
Gioeilli followed in Trainor's footsteps in 25th place, after crossing the finish line at 4:12.16.
The Central Connecticut men's T&F squad will continue its championship run this upcoming weekend March 3-5, back in at Boston University for the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships.
