The Blue Devils became the first program to win five NEC titles last year, also at MIT, as NEC Most Outstanding Swimmer Christine Rasile, now a senior, had a dominant performance in the water to lead CCSU. Rasile won the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle as well as four separate first place finishes in relays events for CCSU.
Central enters the meet after a successful season which saw them win three straight meets to end the year, including a home meet vs. Northeastern. The Blue Devils also posted victory over Sacred Heart, LIU Brooklyn, Wagner and Bryant on the season.
The action being on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at MIT with the two relays. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will consist on 10 a.m. prelims, followed by 6 p.m. finals on each night.
