Women's Golf Completes Play at Kingsmill Women's Intercollegiate
Williams leads Blue Devils in a tie for 45th place overall
The Central Connecticut women's golf team completed play in the Kingsmill Women's Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The tournament was hosted by hosted by William and Mary and was played at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
The Blue Devils shot a day two score of 317 to finish with a three round score of 963. They finished in 20th place overall.
Senior Ella Williams led the Blue Devils with a +3 score of 75 on Tuesday. She finished with a three-round score of 233 (+17). On Monday she fired rounds of 77 and 81. She was tied for 45th place overall.
Freshman Kristyna Abrahamova shot 79 on the second day of the tournament to finish with a three-round score of 236. She shot 75-82 on the first day on Monday. She tied for 55th place.
Senior Kaitlyn Stoddart shot 81 on Tuesday to finish with a score of 244 for the tournament. She shot 78-85 on Monday. Stoddart finished in a tie for 91st place. Juniors Cecy Gutierrez shot 82 and classmate Tara Whelan shot 88 on Tuesday. Gutierrez finished with a score of 250 (106th) while Whelan shot 267 (115th) for the tournament.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on Sunday and Monday, April 2-3, at the Wagner Invitational. The two-day tournament will take place at Quail Valley Golf Club in Gettysburg, PA.
