Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Dartmouth Invitational
Freshman Kristyna Abrahamova finishes in a tie for fifth place overall
Central Connecticut freshman Kristyna Abrahamova shot a day two score of 74 to help pace the women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday. The Blue Devils improved two strokes in Sunday's round and shot 306 to finish with a two day score of 614.
Boston College (584) won the team title, followed by St. John's (602), Dartmouth and Sacred Heart (611) and then the Blue Devils. There were 14 total teams in the field.
Abrahamova continued to put together her strong rookie campaign by shooting a two day score of 149 and tie for fifth place overall. She shot 75 on Saturday and 74 on Sunday.
Senior Ella Williams had a solid weekend shooting 76-75 to post a score of 151 and tie for 12th place overall. Classmate Kaitlyn Stoddart improved one stroke on Sunday 79-78 and finished in a 30th place tie, along with junior teammate Cecy Gutierrez (79-78).
Junior Tara Whelan shot 84 on Sunday to go along with an 83 on Saturday to finish at 167, tied for 61st place.
