CCSU's Dean Lockery Earns Spot in Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game
Lockery is the 2nd Blue Devil named to a summer league All-Star team.
Central Connecticut baseball player Dean Lockery was named to the 2015 Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game it was announced on Monday. The game will be held on Tuesday, July 21 (7:15 p.m.) at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA, hosted by the North Shore Navigators.
A broadcast of the game will be available on EZStream and the day's events will include a home run derby prior to the opening ceremonies and first pitch.
Lockery, who is playing with the Torrington Titans, was named to the West roster with the Commissioner's Final Selection. He is leading the team with a .316 average on 42 base hits and 25 runs scored in 35 games. Lockery has posted three consecutive games with at least three hits, including a 4-for-5 performance with three runs scored in an 11-3 win over Wachusett on Sunday.
Lockery played in 48 games for the Blue Devils as a freshman in 2015 and batted .276 with 18 RBIs and 13 runs scored.

Martinez has scored 30 runs and posted 12 multi-hit games, while leading Top Speed to a 30-5 record and #12 ranking in the Collegiate Summer Baseball rankings.
Connor Fitzsimons (Keene Swamp Bats/NECBL) - Fitzsimons has started 26 games for the Swamp Bats and has scored a team-high 15 runs. He also leads the team with six doubles and is tied for second with a pair of home runs and third on the squad with 13 RBIs.
Casey Brown (Vermont Mountaineers/NECBL) - Brown earned a spot in the NECBL All-Star Game and has posted a 3-1 record in six starts for Vermont. He has a 1.10 ERA, which ranks third in the NECBL.
Ryan Costello (Bristol Blues/Futures League) - Costello has appeared in 32 games for Bristol. He ranks second on the team with two home runs and has scored 10 runs with 12 RBIs.
Franklin Jennings (Torrington Titans/Futures League) - Jennings has collected two hits in each of his last two outings. Appearing in 21 games, he's scored six runs and driven in three more, while stealing a team-high seven bases.
Nick Garland (Torrington Titans/Futures League) - Garland has played in 21 games for the Titans and scored eight runs with eight RBIs and a home run.
Ian Glassman (Allentown Railers/Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League) - Glassman has played in 28 games for the Wolff Division-leading Railers, who are 25-3 on the summer. He ranks second on the team with 18 runs scored and 17 runs batted in, while adding five doubles and five stolen bases.
Corey Lerche (Newark Pilots/Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League) - Lerche has played in 29 games for the Pilots and has scored six runs with five RBIs and two stolen bases.
