Women's Lacrosse Drops Home Opener to New Hampshire on Friday
Blue Devils back in action at home next Wednesday vs. Manhattan
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team dropped to 1-3 overall with a 16-4 home loss to New Hampshire on Friday afternoon. New Hampshire improves to 4-1 overall with the win. Central returns to action on Wednesday, March 6 at home vs. Manhattan at 4 p.m.
Four Blue Devils scored in the game. Junior Morgan Sinton led the offense with a goal and an assist. Sophomore Carrisa Brown, junior Molly Coogan and sophomore Emma Sullivan each posted a goal for the Blue Devils in the loss.
The Wildcats, who led 10-3 at the half, were led by Catherine Sexton who had five goal, Abby Cranney who had three goals, and Rylee Leonard, Michele Smith and Devan Miller who all scored twice.
Senior Jackie Branthover made 12 saves in goal for the Blue Devils in the loss.
Central returns to action next week, hosting Manhattan in their second straight home game. The Blue Devils will also be at home vs. Presbyterian on March 14 at 4 p.m.
