Drexel Tops Women's Lacrosse on Saturday
Adelberger leads the Blue Devils with a pair of goals
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team dropped to 2-6 overall on the season with a 22-4 road loss at Drexel on Saturday afternoon. Drexel is now 5-4 overall after posting their third straight win.
Senior Carson Adelberger led the Blue Devils with a pair of goals in the loss. It marked her third multi-goal game of the season and gives her eight goals in the last three games for the Blue Devils. Sophomore Emma Sullivan and junior Molly Coogan each added a goal for Central.
Senior Jackie Branthover made five saves in goal. Sophomore Cooper Cowdin, seeing her first action of the season, added a pair of saves in the loss.
Drexel was led offensively by Jamie Schneidereith who had four goals. She was one of eight Dragons with at least two goals in the game.
The Blue Devils will return to action on March 27 hosting Vermont beginning at 4 p.m.
