Women's Lacrosse Falls at Home to Vermont on Wednesday
Rapp leads the Blue Devil offense with a pair of goals
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-5 home decision to Vermont on Wednesday. The loss drops the Blue Devils to 2-7 overall on the season. Vermont improves to 7-1 overall with the victory. Wednesday marked the final non-conference game of the season for the Blue Devils.
Central was led offensively by sophomore Kaitlynn Rapp who had a pair of goals. Senior Carson Adelberger, sophomore Emma Sullivan and freshman Raphaela DaSilva each scored once in the game.
Senior Jackie Branthover had 13 saves in goal for Central in the loss.
Vermont's Elise Koehl led all scorers with four goals and added an assist for the Catamounts. Maris Large and Dani Paterno each scored three times.
The Blue Devils now move on to Northeast Conference action hosting LIU Brooklyn next Friday, April 5 beginning at 3 p.m. in New Britain.
