Central Connecticut men's track and field was tabbed second in the Northeast Conference Preseason Poll Wednesday. The Blue Devils finished third in last year's competition.
CCSU received three first place nods in the poll. The Wagner Seahawks, the reigning outdoor champs, were tabbed as favorites to repeat again this season with six first place votes.
Saint Francis U snagged the third-place spot, followed by LIU, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Merrimack. Sacred Heart, Stonehill, and Saint Francis Brooklyn rounded out the poll taking seventh, eighth, and ninth place, respectively.
The Blue Devils are coming off a second-place finish at the 2023 Indoor NEC Track and Field Championships and kick off the season this weekend at the Raleigh Relays Meet at NC State.
