Men's Track & Field Wins Second Straight Meet
The Blue Devils placed first at the UVM Quad Meet on Saturday.
The Central Connecticut men's track and field team won its second straight meet, finishing in first place at the Vermont Quad Meet. The Blue Devils totaled 72 pints, while Vermont finished in second with 66, Hartford in third with 35 points, and Castleton placed fourth with 6 points.

Eddie Nicholas continued his stellar rookie season, winning the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:07.71, over 15 seconds faster than any opponent.

Freshman Jake Ireland earned 5 points for CCSU with his first place finish in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:59.08.

Cam Whalen took gold in the 110 meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.59. He also won the 400 meter hurdles and in all, took home 10 points for CCSU.

Ali Diaby was able to finish in first place in the men's 100 meter dash, finishing with a stellar time of 10.70.

Senior Richard Grudzwick got back to his winning ways, taking first in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:53.28.

The squad of Ali Diaby, Miles Fye-Moore, Jovan Dixon, and Richard Grudzwick took gold in the 4 x 400 relay event.

Nick Kocienda and Andrew McCarthy placed first and second respectively in the men's hammer throw. The pair also took gold in silver in the discus throw, with McCarthy finishing in first.

Sophomore Ed Radzion won the shot put event with a toss of 15.03m.
