Blake Sets Record at Hillacious Half Marathon
Blake's time was the fastest in the race, which has been run since 2016.
Central Connecticut cross country and track and field head coach Eric Blake won the Hillacious Half in Litchfield, CT, on Saturday, November 14. Blake completed the 13.1 mile race in 1:15.07.

Blake's time is the fastest in the race history, which has been run since 2016. As head coach at CCSU, Blake has led the Blue Devils to 11 cross country championships and another seven track and field titles. An accomplished runner for Central as an undergraduate, Blake has been a member of eight USATF Mountain Running Teams and is a four-time winner at the Mount Washington Road Race. He has competed at the Olympic Marathon Trials and set a world record in 2006 running a marathon on the treadmill in 2:21.40.
The H½ was created to honor the military, thank them and recognize that their sacrifices do not go unnoticed or taken for granted. The course is extremely tough – to represent the efforts that our military make every day and often far away from their loved ones.
