Freshman Eddie Nicholas of the men's track and field team was named the Northeast Conference Player & Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week. The Woodbury, CT native helped the Blue Devils take first at the AIC Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday. 

Nicholas took gold in the 5,000m race with a time of 14:34.21. He earned 10 points for CCSU, who finished in first of five teams with 208 total points. The time for Nicholas was the fastest of all NEC runners over the week. The winning time lifted him into the NCAA DI East Region Top 95.
