The Central Connecticut men's soccer team dropped its Northeast Conference opener at St. Francis Brooklyn, 1-0, on Friday at Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Terriers scored the game's only goal early in the second half to begin NEC play.
CCSU slips to 0-7-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Terriers are now 4-6-0 overall and 1-0 in the NEC.
SFC's Tomas Deandrade got the game's only goal at the 52:01 mark when he took an off balance shot that got past the goalkeeper.
Central had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks on the day, but SFC held a 8-4 edge in shots.
Senior Carson D'Ambrosio made three saves on the day for the Blue Devils.
