The Central Connecticut men's soccer team fell to Saint Peter's, 2-1, on Friday at the Peter Baldwin Memorial Classic in Burlington, VT. Freshman Noah Silverman scored the Blue Devils' lone goal.
CCSU slips to 0-3 on the season, while Saint Peter's is now 1-3.
Central plays Vermont on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
Silverman scored the game's opening goal off a deflection on a corner kick just before halftime at 44:39.
The Peacocks tied the match just after halftime, benefitting from an own goal off a deflection on a corner kick at 49:07.
SPC scored the winner 10 minutes later when Wilber Nunez got a feed from Tom Coulson from the midfield and finished on a breakaway.
Freshman Nate Howard and Zach Federowicz each played a half in net for CCSU. Howard made four saves and Federowicz had three stops.
SPC held a 15-14 edge in shots and a 5-4 margin in corner kicks.
