Men's Soccer Shuts Out Robert Morris, 1-0, on Sunday
The Blue Devils return home to host Sacred Heart on Friday night.
The Central Connecticut men's soccer team picked up a late goal to earn a 1-0 win at Robert Morris on Sunday in Northeast Conference action. Senior Louis Beddouri scored with under nine minutes to play and classmate Carson D'Ambrosio and the CCSU defense made the goal stand up for the win. The Blue Devils improved to 1-11-1 overall and 1-5 in the NEC with the win, while RMU is now 4-10-1 overall and 2-4 in the NEC.

The teams played a scoreless opening half and were deadlocked until the 82nd minute when freshman Larson Richards took the ball down the right flank and crossed it to the far left post, where Beddouri got his head to it and sent it into the right side of the net to make it 1-0 at the 81:54 mark.
The Colonials would set up a pair of corner kicks in the closing minutes looking for the tying goal, but the Blue Devils defense kept the shutout. D'Ambrosio, who made six saves in the second half, made a stop of RMU's Guilherme Fanck with just 1:31 remaining.
D'Ambrosio finished the game with nine saves on the day for the shutout. Central was outshot, 18-9, but made the most of its shots on goal to get the victory.
Central hosts Sacred Heart on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
