Hollomon Earns All-America Honor
Junior Rob Hollomon was named to The Sports Network FCS All-America Team at the all-purpose position on the second team offense.
Central Connecticut football junior Rob Hollomon was named to The Sports Network FCS All-America Team on Wednesday afternoon. Hollomon earned a place on the second team offense at the all-purpose position after finishing the season with 2,270 all-purpose yards and 19 total touchdowns.

Prior to the season, Hollomon was named to The Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America Team as the all-purpose player on the third team.
The Philadelphia native spent his second year at CCSU as the team's starting running back and kick returner. He logged 284 carries and 1,452 yards on the ground, while punching in 18 rushing touchdowns. Hollomon also caught 26 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown.
On special teams, Hollomon returned 20 kickoffs for a total of 591 yards, while averaging an incredible 29.5 yards per kickoff return.
Hollomon's 1,452 rushing yards this season rank as the third highest single-season total in program history and his 19 touchdowns are just one behind the program record of 20 in a season. The record of 20 is held by former CCSU running backs Justise Hairston (2006) and Stan House (1996).
After two seasons at CCSU, Hollomon ranks third on CCSU's career rushing list with 2,556 yards. He also ranks fifth on the career scoring list with 150 points.
Hollomon has totaled 3,980 all-purpose yards in two seasons with CCSU. He averaged 189.2 all-purpose yards per game as a junior.
Hollomon was one of eight Northeast Conference players named to The Sports Network FCS All-America Team. Joining Hollomon on the second team were Saint Francis U running back Kyle Harbridge, Robert Morris offensive lineman A.J. Dalton and Sacred Heart defensive tackle Troy Moore. Representing the NEC on the third team were Sacred Heart running back Keshaudas Spence, Duquesne linebacker Christian Kuntz, Robert Morris punt returner Antwan Eddie and Wagner long snapper Phil Faccone. The NEC was not represented on the first team.
